Yes indeed it is a nice bike; the owner is clearly someone with good taste. You are right about the lack of a group making a big difference on that course. A non-Dynamo friend of mine who climbs at the same speed as me ended up almost 20 minutes slower. He was just off the back of the group on the Joux Verte and ended up doing most of the ride solo.

You did well having other trusted dynamos to ride with which must have helped a lot. This makes me think that dynamos and me who finished within a handful of minutes of each other would have done better collectively had we had a plan to ride together – we all bled time riding solo on the false flats. Great photos, especially the ones on the move! Nice looking Ridley in the pic by the lake 😉
